How to Withdraw Money from a PayPal Account Using a Check

First, when using a check to withdraw funds from PayPal, you need to add a bank account, and this bank account must be verified. We have detailed all the steps for adding a bank account in a previous article.

If your account has been disabled by PayPal and you are informed that funds can be withdrawn after 180 days, you will need to receive a withdrawal email to proceed with withdrawing funds via check. This ensures a smooth withdrawal process.

After logging into your PayPal account, go to your settings and update your address to one that can receive checks. This address should be real and usable, similar to the shipping address for purchasing goods. This ensures that when PayPal sends the check, it will reach you successfully.

Update the name on your PayPal account. Currently, we are using the address of our company in the United States, so the recipient’s name and address must match. However, since the name used during PayPal registration is different, it needs to be changed to our company name.

After making the changes, all the information will match the details of our check receiving address.

Once all the information has been updated, we can proceed with the check withdrawal. From my screenshot, you can see that the account balance is relatively high. To increase the success rate, we need to split the amount into two separate withdrawals.

Wait 1-2 weeks, and PayPal will send the check to your address. Once you receive the check, you can take it to the bank and deposit it.

Note: When withdrawing PayPal funds via check, the bank account linked to your PayPal can be a virtual bank with instant verification. There are no specific requirements for the type of bank.
